Sirius Setup Sirius Setup Operation The operation can be performed when the optional Sirius receiver box is connected. To display the Sirius mode screen: To watch a video source, your vehicle must be parked with the ignition key in the ACC or ON position. To do this, follow the procedures below. 1 Bring your vehicle to a complete stop at a safe location. Engage the parking brake. 2 Keep pushing the foot brake and release the parking brake once then engage it again. 3 When the parking brake is engaged for the second time, release the foot brake. • For automatic transmission vehicles, place the transmission lever in the Park position. Now, the locking system for the Sirius mode operation has been released. Engaging the parking brake can reactivate the Sirius mode, as long as the car's ignition has not been turned off. It is not necessary to repeat the above procedure (1 through 3) of "To display the Sirius mode screen." Each time the ignition is turned OFF, perform the procedure of "To display the Sirius mode screen." The following steps 1 to 6 are common operations to each "Setting item" of Sirius Setup. Refer to each section for details. 1 Press SOURCE/ on the unit. The SOURCE selection screen is displayed. 2 Touch [ ] on the main source screen. The SETUP main screen is displayed. 3 Touch [ ] of Source Setup. The Source Setup screen appears. 4 Touch [ ] of Sirius Setup. The Sirius adjustment screen appears. 5 Touch [ ] of the desired item to change its setting. Setting items: Clear Lock / Clear Skip / Sports / S-Seek Alert Settings 6 Touch [ ] to return to the previous screen. Touch [Exit] to return to the main source screen that was displayed before the setup operation was started. Clearing the Lock of Channels The connected optional Sirius receiver box may have the ability to lock out channels with password protection. The locked channels cannot be accessed with this unit. However, the following operation will clear the lock to receive these channels as normal. Setting item: Clear Lock 1 Touch [ ] of the Clear Lock. A message is displayed. 2 Touch [YES] to clear the lock of all the locked channels. Touch [NO] to cancel. • You cannot lock a channel from this unit. Please operate from the optional Sirius receiver box. For details, refer to the owner's manual of the Sirius receiver box. Clearing the Setting of Hidden Channels The optional SIRIUS Receiver Box may have the ability to create an undesired channel list. Using the channel UP/DOWN operation skips the channels in this list automatically. The following operation will prevent the skipping of the listed channels. Setting item: Clear Skip 1 Touch [ ] of the Clear Skip. A message is displayed. 2 Touch [YES] to clear the setting of all the hidden channels. Touch [NO] to cancel. • You cannot hide a channel from this unit. Please operate from the Sirius receiver box. For details, refer to the owner's manual of the optional Sirius receiver box. Setting the Favorite Sports Team announcement The following operation sets the announcement for your favorite sports team. One team from each league can be stored on the unit. Setting item: Sports 1 Touch [ ] of the Sports. The display changes to Sports setting screen. 2 Touch [ ] or [ ] of the Game Alert to select ON. The received announcement for all stored sports teams is set. If OFF is set, no announcements will be made. 3 Touch [ ] of the Favorite Teams. The display changes to League selection screen. 4 Touch [ ] of your desired league. The display changes to the team list of the selected league. 56-EN
