Removing the scanner motor 1 Remove the lower front cover (see page 334). 2 Remove the control panel (see page 344). 3 Disconnect the connector (callout 1), and remove three screws (callout 2). 21 2 Figure 216. Note 23 Removing the copy module scanner motor 4 Detach the scanner motor (callout 3) with its support plate. There is an unused 9-pin connector located below the scanner motor. To adjust the tension of the drive belt When mounting the scanner motor, move the scanner motor and support plate to the right as far as possible by hand. This provides correct belt tension.
