Possible causes and how to avoid an error condition are provided where applicable. • Flash device wrong size This error message can occur when using IBAUtil. The full version of Boot Agent software cannot be loaded into a flash ROM device smaller than 64 KB. If a 32 KB (or smaller) flash ROM device is detected in the adapter, the flash update software returns this message. Assuming the device is socketed, remove the "too small" device and install a blank 64 KB (or larger) flash ROM device. • Invalid PMM function number PMM is not installed or is not working correctly. Try updating the BIOS. • PMM allocation error PMM could not or did not allocate the requested amount of memory for driver usage. • Press Ctrl+S to enter the Setup Menu. Boot Agent messages
The following error and information messages may be displayed during initialization. Possible causes and
how to avoid an error condition are provided where applicable.
•
Flash device wrong size
This error message can occur when using IBAUtil. The full version of Boot Agent software cannot be
loaded into a flash ROM device smaller than 64 KB. If a 32 KB (or smaller) flash ROM device is
detected in the adapter, the flash update software returns this message. Assuming the device is
