Storage problems When installing an OS, the OS installation does not recognize the HP Dynamic Smart Array B120i RAID controller or HP Dynamic Smart Array B320i RAID controller drives Action: Manually install the HP Dynamic Smart Array B120i RAID controller or the HP Dynamic Smart Array B320i RAID controller drivers. For more information, see the controller documentation. Data failure or disk errors on a server with a 10 SFF drive backplane or a 12 LFF drive backplane Action: Be sure that the hard drive backplane ports are connected to only one controller. Only one cable is required to connect the backplane to the controller. The second port on the backplane is cabled to the controller to provide additional bandwidth. Data failure or disk errors on a server with a 25 SFF drive backplane Action: Be sure that both backplane ports are connected to either one or two controllers using two SAS cables. The first port connects to bays 1-13, and the second port attaches to bays 14-25. SD and MicroSD card problems System does not boot from the drive Action: 1. Be sure the drive boot order in RBSU is set so that the server boots from the SD or MicroSD card. 2. Reseat the SD or MicroSD card. USB drive key problems System does not boot from the drive Action: 1. Be sure that USB is enabled in RBSU. 2.
