Bottleneck detection 18 Changing bottleneck settings on a port Using the following procedure, you can change whether RASlog alerts are sent and the threshold, time, and quiet time options. You must first disable bottleneck detection on the port before you can change the settings. 1. Connect to the switch to which the target port belongs and log in as admin. 2. Enter the bottleneckmon --disable command to disable bottleneck detection on the port. 3. Enter the bottleneckmon --enable command to enable bottleneck detection, specify the new threshold values, and set the alert option. Example The following example changes the bottleneck settings on port 4. In this example, the bottleneck --status commands show the before and after settings. switch:admin> bottleneckmon --status Port Alerts? Connect to the switch to which the target port belongs and log in as admin. 2. Enter the bottleneckmon --show command to display a history of the bottleneck severity for a specific port. Changing bottleneck settings on a port

Using the following procedure, you can change whether RASlog alerts are sent and the threshold,

time, and quiet time options. You must first disable bottleneck detection on the port before you can

change the settings.

Connect to the switch to which the target port belongs and log in as admin.

Enter the

bottleneckmon

disable

command to disable bottleneck detection on the port.

Enter the

bottleneckmon

enable

command to enable bottleneck detection, specify the new

threshold values, and set the alert option.

You can use the following procedure to display a history of bottleneck conditions, for up to three
