Factory Reset HRSD40F DVR User Guide The DVR has a Factory Reset switch to the left of the Network port on the rear panel. Use this switch only on the rare occasion that you want to return all the settings to the original factory settings. Caution When you press Factory Reset, you will lose any settings you have saved. Figure 2-8 Factory Reset Switch Factory reset switch To reset the unit, you will need a straightened paperclip: 1. Turn off the DVR. 2. Poke the straightened paperclip into the unlabeled hole to the left of the Network port (see Figure 2-8) and then turn on the DVR. 3. Hold the reset switch down until the DVR turns on and the live monitoring screen appears. 4. Release the reset switch. All the DVR settings return to the original settings it had when it left the factory. Connecting to the Network Port The DVR can be networked using the 10/100Mb Ethernet connector. Connect a CAT5 cable with an RJ45 jack to the DVR connector. The DVR can be networked with a computer for remote monitoring, searching, configuration, and software upgrades. Factory Reset
The DVR has a Factory Reset switch to the left of the Network port on the rear panel.
Use this switch only on the rare occasion that you want to return all the settings to the
original factory settings.
