e-MPS Printing a Private Job In private printing, you can specify that a job is not printed until you release the job from the operator panel. At sending the job from the application software, you should specify a 4-digit access code in the printer driver. The job is released for printing by entering the access code on the operator panel. Thus, this function ensures confidentiality of the print job. When the printer is turned off, all the print jobs will be deleted. Releasing a Private Job To print a private job through the operator panel: 1 Press the MENU key. 2 Press the or key repeatedly until e-MPS > appears. e-MPS > 3 Press the > key. 4 Press the or key repeatedly until >Private/Stored appears. The name entered in the printer driver (Harold, in this example) also appears. >Private/Stored Harold 5 Press the ENTER key. A blinking question mark (?) before a user name appears. >Private/Stored ?Harold 6 Press the or key to display the desired user name (Arlen, in this example). >Private/Stored ?Arlen 7 Press the ENTER key. The user name and the job name (Agenda, in this example) entered in the printer driver appear with a blinking question mark (?). >Arlen ?Agenda 1-61

Printing a Private Job
In private printing, you can specify that a job is not printed until you
