5045-001 Transfer Drum Assembly See Assembly 29-1. 1. Open the front cover. 2. Remove the paper cassette. 3. Remove the waste toner bottle. 4. Remove the photoconductor unit. Note: Use the cover saved during installation to protect the photoconductor from light. 5. Remove the upper front trim panel screw and remove the panel (you may have to raise the top cover slightly). 6. Disconnect the transfer drum connector under the bar code label. 7. Remove the 5 silver phillips head screws from the drum assembly. The gold screws are used to retain the plastic trim panel. 8. Open the multipurpose paper pickup door. 9. Release the two green cassette latches and slide the tray out as far as possible. 10. Push the drum release lever down. 11. Slide the drum out the front of the machine. Repair Information 4-59
