Getting Started • This camera uses a rechargeable lithium-ion battery D-LI8. Use of any other type of battery may damage the camera and cause malfunction. • Insert the battery correctly. If the battery is incorrectly oriented, 1 malfunction may result. • Do not remove the battery while the camera is turned on. • If you do not intend to use the camera for a long time, remove the battery. • The date and time may be returned to the default setting if the camera is left without the battery for a long time. • Allow the camera to dry completely before changing the battery. Avoid changing the battery where the camera is likely to get wet or dirty, and make sure that your hands are dry. • Image Storage Capacity and Playback Time (at 23°C with the LCD monitor on, the flash used for 50% of shots and the battery fully charged) Image Storage Capacity Approx. 180 pictures Playback Time Approx. 230 min. • The still picture storage capacity is based on measuring conditions in accordance with CIPA standards.
