4. White space before and after parameter data is removed. 5. Parameter data on successive lines is concatenated with a single space between them. 6. Parameters can span lines as long as they follow rules 1 through 5. These are the common tasks you must do when using the XML to PDF transform: 1. Create the XML Extender configuration file, xml2pdf.cfg, which lets you configure XML Extender. To create the file: v Use Windows commands to copy the sample configuration file, install_path|xmltransform\samples\xml2pdf.cfg, to install_path\ xmltransform\xml2pdf.cfg: copy install_path\xml2afp\samples\xml2pdf.cfg install_path\xml2afp\xml2pdf.cfg Note: To modify the sample configuration file, you still need to copy it. 2. Edit the file using your preferred editor. Color management resource transform support InfoPrint Manager enables these transforms to do color management: v ps2afp v jpeg2afp v tiff2afp v gif2afp Note: The PCL and SAP transform do not support color management. Transforms capable of color management allows the specification of color resource information at job submission time and the implementation of color management at the transform level within InfoPrint Manager. This support will provide color fidelity with better printer performance. Submitting job using transforms for color management Before you use transforms to do color management, make sure that you have installed the ICC Profiles using the Resource Installer into the Resource library as Color Management Resources (CMRs). For more information, see "Color management resources" on page 231 and "InfoPrint AFP Resource Installer" on page 244. Notes: v You can specify the ICC Profile directly in a pure PS/PDF transform. v Only audit color conversion, instruction color conversion, and link color conversion CMRs are supported. To submit a job: 1. Select your destination printer. 2. Right-click and select Job and Document Defaults. 3. Click Modify. 4. Click Document AFP Color. If this tab is not visible, click Show more and then select Document AFP Color. 204 InfoPrint Manager for Windows: Procedures
