ENGLISH The Camcorder : Advanced Recording Programmed Automatic Exposure Modes (PROGRAM AE) ✤ The Program AE function works only in REC mode. ✤ It allows you to adjust the shutter speed and aperture setting to suit different recording conditions as well as allowing creative control over the depth of field. ✤ The available Program AE modes are: AUTO Auto balance between the subject and background to get the best result. Suitable for most conditions. The shutter speed automatically varies from 1/50 to 1/250 per second, depending on the scene. SPORTS For recording fast moving people or objects. This mode is suitable for sports events, and recording the outside from the inside of a moving vehicle. PORTRAIT For focusing the background of a subject, when the background is out of focus. This mode is most effective when used outdoors. The shutter speed automatically varies from 1/50 to 1/1000 per second. SPOTLIGHT Compensates for a subject that may otherwise appear too bright when shooting under extremely strong direct lighting such as spotlights. It is suitable for recording indoor events such as concerts and school performances. SAND/SNOW SAND/SNOW mode creates good results when the ambient light is very strong such as on a beach shore or in the snow. HIGH S.SPEED High Shutter Speed mode. This setting allows fast-moving images to be captured one frame at a time, for vivid, stable slowmotion playback. It is useful for slowmotion playback of fast moving objects such as a golf player's swing. Reference ✤ Program AE functions are not available in EASYQ mode. ✤ NIGHT CAPTURE and Program AE cannot be used at the same time. 52

Programmed Automatic Exposure Modes (PROGRAM AE)
The Program AE function works only in REC mode.
It allows you to adjust the shutter speed and aperture setting to suit different recording conditions as well as allowing creative

The available Program AE modes are:
AUTO
Auto balance between the subject and background to get the best result. Suitable for most conditions. The shutter speed
automatically varies from 1/50 to 1/250 per second, depending on the scene.
SPORTS
For recording fast moving people or objects. This mode is suitable for sports events, and recording the outside from the inside
