The Camcorder : Advanced Recording Cutting Off Wind Noise (WIND CUT) ✤ The WIND CUT function works only in Camcorder (REC and PLAY) modes. ✤ To reduce microphone wind noise, use the Wind Cut function. ✤ Use the Wind Cut function when recording in a windy place such as on the beach, in the mountains or near buildings. 1. Turn on your camcorder by setting the Power Switch to REC mode. 2. Press the MENU button. The top menu including "A/V" is displayed. 3. Press the DOWN button to select "A/V", then press the OK button. The submenu including "WIND CUT" is displayed. 4. Press the DOWN button to select "WIND CUT", then press the OK button. Each press of the OK button toggles the WIND CUT function between ON and OFF. The (WIND CUT) appears on the LCD monitor if WIND CUT has been set to ON. ENGLISH 5. Press the MENU button to exit the menu screen. (AV IN/OUT: VP-D6050i/D6040i only) Reference ✤ When the Wind Cut function is set to ON, low pitched tones might be eliminated along with the wind noise. ✤ Be sure that Wind Cut is set to OFF when higher microphone sensitivity is required. 61

Cutting Off Wind Noise (WIND CUT)
The WIND CUT function works only in Camcorder (REC and PLAY) modes.
To reduce microphone wind noise, use the Wind Cut function.
Use the Wind Cut function when recording in a windy place such as on the beach, in the
mountains or near buildings.
1.
Turn on your camcorder by setting the Power Switch to REC mode.
2.
Press the MENU button.
The top menu including “A/V” is displayed.
3.
Press the DOWN button to select “A/V”, then press the OK button.
The submenu including “WIND CUT” is displayed.
4.
Press the DOWN button to select “WIND CUT”, then press the OK button.
Each press of the OK button toggles the WIND CUT function between ON and OFF.
The
(WIND CUT) appears on the LCD monitor if WIND CUT has been set to ON.
5.
Press the MENU button to exit the menu screen.
When the Wind Cut function is set to ON, low pitched tones might be eliminated along with the wind noise.
Be sure that Wind Cut is set to OFF when higher microphone sensitivity is required.
