Important: The following feature is only available if supported by the processor and/or operating system. Execute-Disable Bit Capability: Set to Enabled to enable the Execute Disable Bit which will allow the processor to designate areas in the system memory where an application code can execute and where it cannot, thus preventing a worm or a virus from flooding illegal codes to overwhelm the processor or damage the system during an attack. Important: The following feature is only available if supported by the processor and/or operating system. Simultaneous Multi-Threading: Set to Enabled to use simultaneous multi-threading technology, which will result in increased CPU performance. Active Processor Cores: Set to Enabled to use a processor's second core and beyond. The options are All, 1 and 2. Intel EIST Technology: EIST (Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology) allows the system to automatically adjust processor voltage and core frequency in an effort to reduce power consumption and heat dissipation. Please refer to Intel's web site for detailed information. The options are Disable (Disable GV3) and Enable (Enable GV3). Intel® Turbo Boost (Available when Intel® EIST Technology is enabled): Select Enabled to use the Turbo Mode to boost system performance. Performance/Watt Select: When selected the "Power Optimized" (Turbo Boost engages after p) state is sustained for more than 2 seconds. In the default setting "Traditional", Turbo Boost engages even for a P0 state of less than 2 seconds. Intel C-STATE Tech: If Enabled, C-State is set by the system automatically to either C2, C3 or C4. C3 State: This feature allows the user to decide how the onboard 5500 Series processor will act at C3 State.
