7 AppleTalk (EtherTalk) 7 TCP/IP Printing Printing From a Macintosh Overview Brother print servers support the AppleTalk protocol running over Ethernet (also known as EtherTalk). This allows Macintosh users to print at the same time as all other Ethernet network using the AppleTalk (also referred to as EtherTalk) protocol. With the release of System 8.6 or later, Apple introduced a TCP/IP printing capability. This allows Macintosh users to send print jobs using the TCP/IP protocol. Overview
Brother print servers support the AppleTalk protocol running over
Ethernet (also known as EtherTalk). This allows Macintosh users to
print at the same time as all other Ethernet network using the
AppleTalk (also referred to as EtherTalk) protocol.
With the release of System 8.6 or later, Apple introduced a TCP/IP
printing capability. This allows Macintosh users to send print jobs
using the TCP/IP protocol.
