Computer will not start. Computer seems to be locked up. Cause Hard drive boot has been disabled in Computer Setup. You are using the wrong cable for the drive type. Both slow and fast UATA devices are on the same data cable. Hard drive is damaged. Program in use has stopped responding to commands. Solution Run Computer Setup and enable the hard drive entry in the Storage > Boot Order list. Reinstall the second Ultra ATA hard drive using an 80-conductor cable. The 80-conductor cable is standard on select models. Change slow UATA devices to a separate data cable connected to the secondary IDE controller on the system board. Observe the beeps and LED lights on the keyboard. See Appendix A, "POST Error Messages" to determine possible causes. See your Worldwide Limited Warranty for details. Attempt the normal Windows "Turn off Computer" procedure. If this fails, press the power button for four or more seconds to turn off the power.
