7-12 Cabling Examples This section contains example cabling scenarios covering the most common applications. If your planned configuration does not match one of these examples, use the SCSI Cable Matrices in Tables 7-1 and 7-2 and these examples as a general guide. Example 1: Standard Configuration - Using Integrated SCSI Port 1 for Hard Drives, SCSI Port 2 for Removable Media Bay The Compaq ProLiant 5500 server ships standard in the simplex mode, as shown in Figures 7-7 and 7-8.
