Slide rail assembly (outer bracket rail and inner server rail) IMPORTANT: To make the installation of the mounting bracket easier, attach the bracket rail to the rack mounting bracket before attaching the mounting bracket assembly to the rack. This way, the joined mounting bracket and bracket rail can be fastened to the rack as one assembly. Attaching the Bracket Rail to the Mounting Bracket Please read all of the following eight steps before you begin. 1. Unpack the hardware mounting kit. Lay the two-piece slide rail assembly (outer bracket rail and inner server rail) and fasteners on a flat surface along with the mounting brackets and fasteners that came with the rack. Extend the server rail from the bracket slide rail until the server rail release latch clicks. Holding down the latch, slip this piece out of each bracket rail, as shown in the following figure.
