Enter the System Setup program, and update the system configuration

information.

See Chapter 4, ²Using the System Setup Program,³ in the system

User±s Guide

for instructions.

Run the System Set test group in the Dell Diagnostics.

See Chapter 5, ²Running the Dell Diagnostics.³

Do the tests complete successfully?

Yes.

Go to step 9.

No.

Go to step 13.

Turn off the system, disconnect it from the electrical outlet, and open the com-

puter panel doors.

10.

Reinstall one of the expansion cards you removed in step 5; repeat steps 6, 7,

and 8; and continue with step 11.

11.

Run the System Set test group again.

Do the tests complete successfully?

Yes.

Go to step 12.

No.

Go to step 13.

12.

Repeat steps 9, 10, and 11 for each of the remaining expansion cards you

removed in step 5.

Have you reinstalled all of the expansion cards without encountering a test

failure?

Yes.

Go to step 13.

No.

The expansion card is faulty. See Chapter 12, ²Getting Help,³ for instructions

on obtaining technical assistance.

13.

Disconnect the keyboard and reboot the system.

Does the system boot successfully?

Yes.

Go to step 14.

No.
