Grasp the recessed grip slot at the top of the fan assembly, press in on the

release lever inside the slot, and lift up to remove the fan assembly from the sys-

tem (see Figure 7-8).

2.

Reinstall the assembly, making sure that the assembly seats flush with the chas-

sis top.

NOTE: Misrouted interface cables beneath the fan assembly can prevent the

assembly from seating properly. See ²Routing the Interface Cables Inside the

Chassis² in Chapter 8 of this guide for more information about properly routing

the interface cables.
