Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system on page 45. 3. Remove the applicable air shroud: a. Non-GPU air shroud b. Expansion card riser 2 OR a. GPU air shroud b. Expansion card riser 2 4. Remove the power supply units CAUTION: To prevent damage to the power interposer board, you must remove the power supply module (s) or power supply blank from the system before removing the power interposer board or power distribution board. NOTE: Ensure that the cables inside the system are correctly routed and secured using the cable securing latches. Steps 1. Align and push the PIB to the PSU cage and slide it into place. 2. Using Phillips #2 screwdriver, tighten the screw to secure the PIB to the system. 3. Route the cables, and connect it to the system board. Figure 109. Installing power interposer board Next steps 1. Remove the power supply units
CAUTION:
To prevent damage to the power interposer board, you must remove the power supply module (s) or power
supply blank from the system before removing the power interposer board or power distribution board.
NOTE:
Ensure that the cables inside the system are correctly routed and secured using the cable securing latches.
Steps
1.
Align and push the PIB to the PSU cage and slide it into place.
2.
Using Phillips #2 screwdriver, tighten the screw to secure the PIB to the system.
3.
Route the cables, and connect it to the system board.
