Figure 111. Installing system board Next steps 1. Replace the following: a. Trusted Platform Module (TPM) NOTE: The TPM must be replaced only while installing a new system board. NOTE: The TPM plug-in module is attached to the system board and cannot be removed. A replacement TPM plug-in module is provided for all system board replacements, where a TPM plug-in module was installed. b. Network daughter card. c. Power Interposer Board (PIB). d. USB 3.0 module cables, if applicable e. Backplane cables, if applicable f. Processor and heat sink module g. Internal USB key, if applicable h. iDSDM/vFlash module i. Expansion card risers j. Cooling fan assembly. k. Air shroud. l. Drive cage (rear), if applicable. 2. Replace the iDRAC MAC address label from the luggage tag on the front of the system with the new iDRAC MAC address label that came with the replacement system board. 3. Reconnect all cables to the system board. NOTE: Ensure that the cables inside the system are routed along the chassis wall and secured using the cable securing bracket. 4. Boot the system. 5. Follow the procedure listed in After working inside your system. 6. Ensure that you: a. Use the Easy Restore feature to restore the Service Tag. For more information, see the Restoring the Service Tag using Easy Restore section. b. If the Service Tag is not backed up in the backup flash device, enter the Service Tag manually. For more information, see the Manually update the Service Tag section. c. Update the BIOS and iDRAC versions. d. Re-enable the Trusted Platform Module (TPM).
