Bluetooth module NOTE: The Bluetooth® module spare part kit does not include a Bluetooth module cable. The Bluetooth module cable is included in the Cable Kit, spare part number 487432-001. See Bluetooth module cable on page 88 for removal procedures for the Bluetooth module cable. Description Bluetooth module Spare part number 483113-001 Before removing the Bluetooth module, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 44). Remove the Bluetooth module: 1. Loosen the Phillips PM2.0×5.0 captive screw (1) that secures the Bluetooth module compartment cover to the computer. 2. Remove the Bluetooth module compartment cover (2) by lifting it straight up. NOTE: The Bluetooth module compartment cover is included in the Plastics Kit, spare part number 487429-001. 3. Release the Bluetooth module (1) from the computer as far as the Bluetooth module cable allows. 48 Chapter 4 Removal and replacement procedures

Before removing the Bluetooth module, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and
then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4.
Remove the battery (see
Battery
on page
44
).
Remove the Bluetooth module:
1.
Loosen the Phillips PM2.0×5.0 captive screw
(1)
that secures the Bluetooth module compartment
cover to the computer.
2.
Remove the Bluetooth module compartment cover
(2)
by lifting it straight up.
NOTE:
The Bluetooth module compartment cover is included in the Plastics Kit, spare part

3.
Release the Bluetooth module
(1)
from the computer as far as the Bluetooth module cable allows.
