When Error Correction Mode is enabled and an error occurs during fax transmission, the product sends or receives the error portion again. Enabled (default) Disabled JBIG compression reduces fax-transmission time, which can result in lower phone charges. However, using JBIG compression sometimes causes compatibility problems with older fax machines. If this occurs, turn off JBIG compression. Select a value from the list. The default is 33.6K. Use this feature to set the maximum baud rate for receiving faxes. This can be used as a diagnostic tool for troubleshooting fax problems.
