Writing HP CD-Writer and hp dvd-writer drives are capable of at least 1,000 overwrites/track on qualified HP CD-RW media. Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) The MTBF for the hp dvd-writer drive is 100,000 power-on hours minimum.
