It is recommended that you back up files, and defragment your hard disk drive at least monthly. If you use your PC a great deal, you may want to perform these tasks more frequently. Uninstalling Programs 1. Click Start. 2. Click Control Panel. 3. Double-click Add or Remove Program. 4. Click the Change or Remove Programs icon on the left of the screen, if not already selected. 5.
