Using Application Recovery and System Recovery Application Recovery If an individual application or driver accidentally gets erased or damaged, you can reinstall the software using the Compaq Presario Application Recovery program. Not all models include the Application Recovery program. Perform steps 1 to 4. If Compaq Application Recovery appears as an option, then your PC includes the program. Do not use Application Recovery to reinstall software programs that came on CDs or DVDs included in the PC box. Reinstall these programs directly from the CDs or DVDs. To start Application Recovery: 1. Close all applications and folders. 2. Click Start on the taskbar. 3. Choose All Programs. 4. Choose Compaq, and then choose Compaq pc tools. 5. Click Compaq Application Recovery. The recovery box appears. 6. Click Application Installation or Driver Installation, and then click Next. 7. Using Application Recovery and System Recovery
Application Recovery
If an individual application or driver accidentally
gets erased or damaged, you can reinstall the
software using the Compaq Presario Application
Recovery program.
To start Application Recovery:
1. Close all applications and folders.
2. Click
Start
on the taskbar.
3. Choose
All Programs
.
4. Choose
Compaq
, and then choose
Compaq pc tools
.
5. Click
Compaq Application
Recovery
.
The recovery box appears.
6. Click
Application Installation
or
Driver Installation
, and then click
Next
.
7. Select the driver or application program to
install, and then click
Install
.
Not all models include the Application
