Removing a CP Card The SAN Director 2/128 continues to operate while a CP card is being replaced if the redundant CP card continues to operate and a failover does not occur (you can prevent failover by entering the hadisable command). Note: The core section within the SAN Director 2/128 CP cards provide internal routing bandwidth that are always active on both CP cards. Removing a CP card might impact user performance, and should not occur until the replacement CP card is ready to be installed. To ensure adequate system pressure for cooling purposes, leave the faulty CP card in the slot until you are ready to perform the replacement procedure.
