8 MEMORY OPERATION Copying the Memory contents You can copy the Memory contents to the VFO. 1. Push V/M to select the Memory mode. 2. Select the memory channel to be copied. 3. Hold down V/M for 1 second. ••Beeps sound and the selected memory contents are copied to the VFO. Memory mode 4. Push V/M to select the VFO mode to confirm that the memory contents were successfully copied. VFO mode Inserting a blank channel You can insert a blank channel between 2 Memory channels. LThis function is convenient to organize your memory channels. 1. Touch the Memory channel number. ••The VFO/MEMORY screen opens. 2. Select the channel to insert a blank channel below. 3. Touch [M-INS] for 1 second. ••Beeps sound and a blank channel is inserted below Blank channel Clearing a memory channel When you clear a memory channel, you can choose whether to leave the cleared channel blank as a place 1 holder, or keeping the deleted channel number. Clearing a memory channel
Copying the Memory contents
Inserting a blank channel
When you clear a memory channel, you can choose
whether to leave the cleared channel blank as a place
holder, or keeping the deleted channel number.

You cannot clear program scan edge channels.
1.
Touch the Memory channel number.
• The VFO/MEMORY screen is displayed.
2.
Rotate
to select the channel you want to clear.
3.
When clearing the memory channel contents:

Touch [M-CLR] (Memory Clear) for 1 second.
• Beeps sound and the selected memory contents are
cleared but the memory channel remains as a blank
channel.
When deleting the channel:
z
Touch [M-DEL] (Memory Delete) for 1 second.
• Beeps sound and the memory channel is completely
deleted.
4. Push
to close the VFO/MEMORY screen.
You can copy the Memory contents to the VFO.
1. Push
V/M
to select the Memory mode.

Select the memory channel to be copied.

• Beeps sound and the selected memory contents are
copied to the VFO.
