6 CALL CHANNEL OPERATION Programming a call channel Operating frequency, duplex information, subaudible tone information (tone encoder or tone squelch ON/OFF and its frequency) and alphanumeric channel names can also be programmed into the call channel. q Set the desired frequency in VFO mode. ➥ Push [V/MHz(SCAN)] to select VFO mode. ➥ Set the frequency using the tuning dial. ➥ Set other data as desired. w Push [MW(S.MW)] momentarily. e Rotate the tuning dial to select the call channel • "M" indicator and "C" blink. r Push [MW(S.MW)] for 1 sec. to program. • 3 beeps sound and the unit returns to VFO mode automatically. z Set the desired frequency in VFO mode. MR/CALL ➥ Push [VFO/LOCK] to select VFO mode. ➥ Set the frequency. ➥ Set other data as desired. MW x Push [FUNC], then [CLR A(MW)] momentarily. 6 c Select the call channel via [Y] or [Z] . [Y]/[Z] v Push [FUNC] then [CLR A(MW)] for 1 sec. to program. • 3 beeps sound and the unit returns to VFO mode automatically.
