Applying too much pressure can damage the socket. Keyed DIMMs insert only one way. ✏ NOTE Load the DIMMs in the following order (Figure 19). 1. Bank 1: DIMMs #1, 2, 3, and 4 2. Bank 2: DIMMs #5, 6, 7, and 8 3. Bank 3: DIMMs #9, 10, 11, and 12 Always fill banks completely. Partially filled banks are ignored by the system. Use only approved DIMMs listed on the Intel customer support Web site: http://support.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/ssh4/spsh4/compat.htm To install DIMMs: 1. Remove the memory board (page 69), and place the board component-side up on a nonconductive, static-free surface. 2. Installing DIMMs
CAUTION
Use extreme care when installing a DIMM.
Applying too much pressure can
damage the socket.
Keyed DIMMs insert only one way.
NOTE
Load the DIMMs in the following order (Figure 19).
1.
Bank 1: DIMMs #1, 2, 3, and 4
2.
Bank 2: DIMMs #5, 6, 7, and 8
3.
Bank 3: DIMMs #9, 10, 11, and 12
Always fill banks completely.
Partially filled banks are ignored by the
system.

To install DIMMs:
