Page 79 highlights

Installing and Removing a Hot-swap Hard Drive (Hotswap Hard Drive System Only) You may install up to three hot-swap SAS or SATA drives in the Intel® Server System SR1600UR (Product Code: SR1600URHS). Cautions: If you install less than three drives or devices, the empty drive bays must be occupied by carriers with baffles to maintain proper system cooling. To avoid possible damage to your server system, do not use older style drive carriers. Note: The server system does not support all hard drives. For a web link to a list of supported hard drives, see "Additional Information and Software" on page 3". Installing a Hot-swap SAS or SATA Hard Disk Drive To install a hot-swap SAS or SATA hard disk drive, follow these steps: 1. Press the green latch towards the black lever and pull out on the lever to release the hard drive carrier (see letter "A" in Figure 50). 2. Slide the carrier from the server system (see letter "B" in Figure 50). B A AF002943 Figure 50. Removing Hot-swap Disk Carrier from the Server System 3. Remove the four screws that attach the plastic retention device or the previously installed hard drive to the drive carrier (see letter "A" in Figure 51).
