18 TROUBLESHOOTING Internal Beats Internal beats may occur within some of the amateur band frequencies. This is due to the frequency configuration of this transceiver and is not a malfunction. Example: 29.699 MHz, 51.957 MHz, 53.784 MHz, etc. Spurious Signals on the Bandscope Signals that are unrelated to the RX signals may sometimes appear on the bandscope (waterfall). These are internal beats due to the frequency configuration of this transceiver and is not a malfunction. Adjusting the reference level or attenuator of the bandscope may sometimes help to minimize the appearance of spurious signals. 18-12
