Section 2 Fax Operation (Basic Use) Dialing the Same Number Again (Redailing functions) Redialing refers to dialing the most recently dialed number once again. Automatic Redialing When attempting to transmit documents, etc., the other party's fax machine may be busy with another communication and may not respond. In this type of situation, your fax machine will automatically attempt to redial that same number. * Automatic Redialing is performed automatically by this fax and no special settings are required for its use. As redialing will be performed a number of times at a set interval, this function is effective even if the other party's communication takes an extended period of time. * Automatic Redialing will not engage when documents are being transmitted in the Direct Feed Transmission mode. Manual Redialing What if you try to transmit documents but the other party's fax line is busy and can't answer your call? In this type of situation, you will be able to redial that last number dialed once again by simply pressing the "Re-dial" key. Press the "Re-dial" key. Redialing refers to dialing the most recently dialed number once again.
Automatic Redialing

machine may be busy with another communication and may not
respond. In this type of situation, your fax machine will
automatically attempt to redial that same number.
