Replacing a half-size wireless WAN card Attention: Before you start installing a Mini PCI ExpressCard, touch a metal table or a grounded metal object. This action reduces any static electricity from your body. The static electricity could damage the card. If your computer is equipped with a half-size wireless WAN card, replace the card by doing the following: 1. Ensure that you have disabled the built-in battery. See "Disabling the built-in battery" on page 67. 2. Turn off the computer; then disconnect the ac power adapter and all cables from the computer. Wait three to five minutes to let the computer cool. 3. Close the computer display, and turn the computer over. 4. Remove the keyboard. See "Replacing the keyboard" on page 71. Chapter 6. Replacing a half-size wireless WAN card
Attention:
Before you start installing a Mini PCI ExpressCard, touch a metal table or a grounded metal
object. This action reduces any static electricity from your body. The static electricity could damage the card.
If your computer is equipped with a half-size wireless WAN card, replace the card by doing the following:
1. Ensure that you have disabled the built-in battery. See “Disabling the built-in battery” on page 67.
2. Turn off the computer; then disconnect the ac power adapter and all cables from the computer. Wait
three to five minutes to let the computer cool.
3. Close the computer display, and turn the computer over.
4. Remove the keyboard. See “Replacing the keyboard” on page 71.
