Advanced Setup-Continued Speaker Setup Some of the settings in this section are set automatically by Audyssey MultEQ® Room Correction and Speaker Setup (see page 54). Here you can check the settings made by Audyssey MultEQ® Room Correction and Speaker Setup, or set them manually, which is useful if you change one of the connected speakers after using Audyssey MultEQ® Room Correction and Speaker Setup. Note: The Speaker Setup cannot be carried out while headphones are connected to the AV receiver. 1 Press the [RECEIVER] button followed by the [SETUP] button. The main menu appears onscreen. If the main menu doesn't appear, make sure the appropriate external input is selected on your TV. 2 Use the Up and Down [R]/[X] buttons to select main menu, and then press [ENTER]. 3 Use the Up and Down [R]/[X] buttons to select the submenu, and then press [ENTER]. 4 Use the Up and Down [R]/[X] buttons to select setting, and then use the Left and Right [F]/[S] buttons to set them. 5 When you've finished, press the [SETUP] button. The setup menu closes. Speaker Settings See "Speaker Settings" on page 51. Speaker Configuration With these settings, you can specify which speakers are connected and a crossover frequency for each speaker. The following crossover frequencies can be specified: "Full Band", "40Hz", "50Hz", "60Hz", "70Hz", "80Hz(THX)", "90Hz", "100Hz", "120Hz", "150Hz", or "200Hz". Specify "Full Band" for speakers that can output low frequency bass sounds adequately, for example, speakers with a good sized woofer. For smaller speakers, specify a crossover frequency. Sounds below the crossover frequency will be output by the subwoofer instead of the speaker. Refer to your speaker's manuals to determine the optimum crossover frequencies. If you set up your speakers using Audyssey MultEQ® Room Correction and Speaker Setup, please make sure manually that any THX speakers are set to "80Hz(THX)" crossover. Speaker Configuration
