Troubleshooting Guide If the Antenna Connector doesn't Match Use one of the following connections to suit the antenna lead to the unit's RF IN terminal, and the 75 Ω coaxial cable to the antenna terminals on your TV or other equipment. Refer to the other equipment's operating instructions for more information. To reset the ratings level settings You can reset both parental rating (➔ 47) and DVD-Video rating (➔ 49). With the unit stopped ;OPEN/CLOSE to open the disc tray. On the main unit CH REC Press and hold both buttons for about 5 seconds. To restore the unit if it freezes On the main unit POWER8 Press and hold for more than 10 seconds. - The unit is off. or On the main unit Press and hold for more than 1 second with a pointed object. Before requesting service, make the following checks. If you are in doubt about some of the check points, or if the remedies indicated in the chart do not solve the problem, refer to "Customer Services Directory" on page 79 if you reside in the U.S.A., or refer to "Product information" on page 69 if you reside in Canada. The following does not indicate a problem with the unit: • Regular disc rotating sound. • Poor reception due to atmospheric conditions. • Image disturbance during search. • Periodic interruptions to the reception due to satellite broadcasting breaks. • Operations not working due to a poor-quality disc. (Try again using a Panasonic disc.) • The unit freezing due to the activation of one of its safety devices (➔ above, To restore the unit if it freezes). General Issues Power Page No power.
