Enjoying through External Equipment 12 Enjoying through memory cards (Home Gallery function) On this system, you can watch JPEG images that have been captured and stored in memory cards using a digital still camera. Image data display Digital still camera REC ON STANDBY TIMER PULL Memory card with STANDBY/ON OPEN PC CARD adapter Inserting a memory card 1 Open the front door on the Media Receiver. 2 Hold the memory card with its top side facing upward, and then insert it into the PC CARD slot. • Insert the memory card as far as it goes. Front of the Media Receiver (with the front door opened) STANDBY/ON REC ON STANDBY TIMER TV GUIDE ENTER DOWN UP LEFT RIGHT INPUT DOWN UP VOLUME DOWN UP CHANNEL HOME GALLERY PC CARD SLOT Y COM EJECT Readable memory cards This system can read memory cards that conform to the PCMCIA Type II standard, and whose formats are FAT12, FAT16, FAT32, or VFAT. Readable data files This system can read only JPEG files that meet the following conditions: • Extensions are JPG or JPEG. • JPEG 4:2:2 and 4:2:0 format • The image resolution must be less than 2400 pixels in the horizontal direction and 1800 pixels in the vertical direction. • The image resolution must be higher than 160 pixels in the horizontal direction and 120 pixels in the vertical direction. NOTE • This system may not be able to display images, depending on the type of your PC CARD adapter or memory card. • This system may not be able to display images modified or edited using a personal computer or other equipment. Top side Memory card with PC CARD adapter 3 Close the front door on the Media Receiver. Removing a memory card To remove a memory card, quit the memory card screen, and then push the EJECT button. The memory card is ejected. If you remove the memory card while the Home Gallery screen is displayed, data in the memory card may be damaged. • Do not insert or remove a memory card into/from the PC CARD slot immediately after the system is switched on or off. This may cause data in the memory card to be damaged. 79 En
