Command Keys Navigation Keys Use the directional keys on the navigation key to browse menus, sub menus, and lists. Each key also acts as a shortcut to launch applications. The navigation keys are user-definable. Back Light The backlight illuminates the display and the keypad. When you press any key or open the phone, the backlight turns on. It goes off when no keys have been pressed within a given period of time, depending on the setting in the Back Light menu. External LCD Your phone has an external display on the front of the phone. It indicates when you have an incoming call or a message. It also alerts you at a specified time when you have set an alarm. The backlight turns on and the corresponding icon appears on the external display. You can change the display type for the external display in the Front LCD Display menu.
