Phone Basics Answering Calls 1. Make sure your phone is on. (If your phone is off, incoming calls go to voicemail.) 2. Press to answer an incoming call. (Depending on your settings, you may also answer incoming calls by opening the phone or by pressing any number key. See "Call Answer Mode" on page 57 for more information.) Your phone notifies you of incoming calls in the following ways: ⅷ The phone rings or vibrates. ⅷ The indicator light flashes. ⅷ The backlight illuminates. ⅷ The screen displays an incoming call message. If the incoming call is from a number stored in your Contacts, the entry's name is displayed. You may also see the caller's phone number, if available. If you set Call Answer to Talk Key (see "Call Answer Mode" on page 57), you also see the following options. To select an option, press the corresponding softkey. ⅷ SILENT (left softkey) to mute the onboard speaker and temporarily silence the ringer. ⅷ IGNORE (right softkey) to send the call to your voicemail box. Note To quiet the ringer, press or press the volume button. Answering a Roam Call With Call Guard Enabled Call Guard is an option that helps you manage your roaming charges when making or receiving calls while outside the Nationwide Sprint Network. Answering Calls

Make sure your phone is on. (If your phone is off,
