Using Printer Options 3 Peel backing from insulating paper. Align the insulating paper to match the shape of the bottom of the hard drive. Press it in place on the bottom of the hard drive 4 Place the hard drive in position on the circuit card assembly. 5 Align the hard drive carefully so that the rightmost four pins on the hard drive are to the right of the connector on the circuit card assembly and slide it firmly in place. 6 Secure the hard drive in place using four screws. If the screws don't line up correctly with the holes in the bottom of the hard drive, check alignment of the hard drive as indicated in step 5 above. 7 Align the controller board with the printer's guide channel and slide the board all the way into the printer until it stops. Then replace the screws to secure the controller board. 8 Reconnect the power cord and all cables and turn on the printer. 9 Print a Configuration Sheet (as described on page 45) and confirm that the hard drive appears as an installed option. Using Printer Options

Peel backing from insulating paper. Align the
insulating paper to match the shape of the bottom of
the hard drive. Press it in place on the bottom of the
hard drive

Place the hard drive in position on the circuit card
assembly.

Align the hard drive carefully so that the rightmost
four pins on the hard drive are to the right of the
connector on the circuit card assembly and slide it
firmly in place.

Secure the hard drive in place using four screws. If
the screws don’t line up correctly with the holes in
the bottom of the hard drive, check alignment of the
hard drive as indicated in step 5 above.

Align the controller board with the printer’s guide
channel and slide the board all the way into the
printer until it stops. Then replace the screws to
secure the controller board.

Reconnect the power cord and all cables and turn on
the printer.

Print a Configuration Sheet (as described on
page 45) and confirm that the hard drive appears as
an installed option. If any problems occur, reinstall
the drive. If problems persist, check the support
