Managing Printer Usage Indicator Lights The front panel contains two indicator lights. Indicator lights and their functions Light On-Line (Green) Fault (Red) Description Lights when the printer is on-line. Flashes when: I The printer is transitioning from on-line to off-line (two times per second). I To indicate that a print job is being processed (one time per second). Managing Printer Usage
Indicator Lights
The front panel contains two indicator lights.
Display
The front panel's display performs two functions.
It informs you of printer status conditions, such as when toner is low, when a paper
tray is empty, when a job is in process and so on. For example:
Ready displays whenever the printer is on-line and ready to receive print jobs.
The display will also show
when processing data and
when waiting for more data.
It presents a hierarchy of menu options and settings to configure and control the
printer.
For example, when you press
Menu Up
or
Menu Down
