Managing Printer Usage Printing Secure Print and Proof Print Jobs The optional hard drive enables you to store print jobs in the printer until the corresponding password is entered at the front panel to release them. Once the file is printed, it is automatically deleted from the printer's hard disk drive. There are two types of password-controlled jobs: I The Secure Print job type is designed for printing confidential documents when the printer is situated remotely from your workstation. I The Proof Print job type enables you to print and proof a single copy of a document before printing the remaining copies. To send a password-controlled job to the printer, select either the Secure Print or Proof Print job type in the printer driver and enter a 4-digit numeric password, where each digit of the password can be any numeric value between 0000 - 7777 using only the digits 0 - 7. When you're ready to release your job for printing, follow these steps: 1 On the front panel, press the Menu Up or Menu Down button until you see: Menus Password Menu 2 Press the Item Up or Item Down button until you see: Enter Password _xxx 3 Enter the job's numeric password and you will see: All Jobs = Print 4 Press Enter to print all jobs associated with the password you entered in Step 3. OR: Press Item Up or Item Down to scroll the jobs, then press Enter when the job you want to print is shown. Printing Secure Print and Proof Print Jobs
The optional hard drive enables you to store print jobs in the printer until the
corresponding password is entered at the front panel to release them. Once the file is
printed, it is automatically deleted from the printer’s hard disk drive.
There are two types of password-controlled jobs:
The Secure Print job type is designed for printing confidential documents when the
printer is situated remotely from your workstation.
The Proof Print job type enables you to print and proof a single copy of a document
before printing the remaining copies.
To send a password-controlled job to the printer, select either the Secure Print or Proof
Print job type in the printer driver and enter a 4-digit numeric password, where each digit
