Cell broadcasting prerequisites • Verify that your wireless service provider supports this feature. • Verify that your SIM card is set up with a cell broadcast channel or your wireless service provider has provided you with the ID for a cell broadcast channel. • Verify that your SIM card supports the display language that you want to use for cell broadcast messages. Turn on cell broadcasting 1. In the device options, click Advanced Options. 2. Click Cell Broadcast. 3. Set the Cell Broadcasting Service field to On. 4. Perform one of the following actions: • If a cell broadcast channel appears on the screen, select the check box beside the channel. • If a cell broadcast channel does not appear on the screen, press the Menu key. Click Add Channel. Type the channel ID and a nickname. Click OK. 5. Click a language. 6. Click Enable. 7. Press the Menu key. 8. Click Save. To turn off cell broadcasting, set the Cell Broadcasting Service field to Off.
