5. OPERATION ５-２. Home position detection (preparation) 3903Q Before starting home position detection, check that the needle bar is at its highest position. Turn the machine pulley so that the index mark (1) on the pulley is inside the mark (2) on the belt cover. If the machine is started while the index mark (1) is not inside the mark (2), error message "E-02" will be displayed. At this time, the error will be cleared if you turn the machine pulley to set the needle to the needle up stop position. Note: When transporting and installing the sewing machine, the thread trimming mechanism may move so that the machine pulley cannot be turned. In such cases, do not force the pulley to turn. Move the thread trimming mechanism to the home position, or turn the machine pulley in the reverse direction to set the needle to the needle up stop position. 3904Q 3905Q 1. Turn on the power. * The POWER indicator (3) will illuminate and the model number will appear for one second in the parameter display LED (4). After this, "--" will appear in the program number LED (5) and "----" will appear in the parameter display LED (4). 2. Depress the treadle to the 2nd step [C], and then release it. * The sewing machine will move to the home position, and the work clamp will move to the neutral position. * After the home position has been reached, the mode will change to the mode which was active when the power was turned off (automatic/test feed/manual/program). 29 HE-800A

. Home position detection (preparation)
Before starting home position detection, check
that the needle bar is at its highest position.
Turn the machine pulley so that the index mark (1) on
the pulley is inside the mark (2) on the belt cover.
If the machine is started while the index mark (1) is not
inside the mark (2), error message "E-02" will be
displayed. At this time, the error will be cleared if you
turn the machine pulley to set the needle to the needle
up stop position.
Note:
When transporting and installing the sewing
machine, the thread trimming mechanism may
move so that the machine pulley cannot be turned.
In such cases, do not force the pulley to turn.
Move the thread trimming mechanism to the home
position, or turn the machine pulley in the reverse
direction to set the needle to the needle up stop
position.
1. Turn on the power.
* The POWER indicator (3) will illuminate and the model number will appear for one second in the parameter display
LED (4).
After this, "--" will appear in the program number LED (5) and "----" will appear in the parameter display LED (4).
2. Depress the treadle to the 2nd step [C], and then release it.
