Circuit ID and Remote ID Sub-option Format 2 DHCP/BOOTP Relay Interface Settings This window allows the user to set up a server, by IP address, for relaying DHCP/ BOOTP information to the Switch. The user may enter a previously configured IP interface on the Switch that will be connected directly to the DHCP/BOOTP server using the following window. Properly configured settings will be displayed in the BOOTP Relay Table at the bottom of the following window, once the user clicks the Add button under the Apply heading. The user may add up to four server IPs per IP interface on the Switch. Entries may be deleted by clicking it's corresponding . To enable and configure DHCP/BOOTP Relay Interface Settings on the Switch, click Administration > DHCP/BOOTP Relay > DHCP/BOOTP Relay Interface Settings: Figure 6- 9. Parameter Description Interface The IP interface on the Switch that will be connected directly to the Server. Server IP Enter the IP address of the DHCP/BOOTP server. Up to four server IPs can be configured per IP Interface DHCP Local Relay Settings The DHCP Local Relay Settings are used on request packets from the Client to the Server. As a result of the customer's networking environment, DCHP Local Relay is implemented so that it is independent from the original behavior of DHCP relay. The DHCP Local Relay is also independent from the option82 module in the forwarding way and the content of DHCP request packets from Client to Server. To enable and configure DHCP Local Relay Global Settings on the Switch, click Administration > DHCP/BOOTP Relay > DHCP Local Relay Settings: 38
