PowerConnect Back Panel Port Description The device back panel contains connectors for power, as illustrated in the Figure 2-4. Figure 2-4. Device Back Panel On the device back panel are two power supply connectors. For general use there is an AC Power Supply connector which is connectable to either 110V or 220V power supplies. The DC Power Supply connector is to connect a Redundant Power Supply (RPS) to be activated automatically in the event of an AC power supply outage. Device Ports SFP Ports The Small Form Factor Plugable (SFP) port is a hot swappable optical modular transceiver that offers high speed and compactness, which is designated as 1000Base-SX or LX. RS-232 Console Port One DB-9 connector for a serial terminal connection which is used for debugging, software download, etc. The default baud rate is 9600 bps. The baud rate can be configured from 2400 bps up to 38400 bps. Figure 2-5. Console Port 30 Hardware Description
