Use the Advanced NMEA Setup Page to turn the GPS status (GSA, GSV), Waypoint/Route (WPL, RTE), and the Garmin proprietary sentences on or off. Check any other equipment's owners manual to see what sentences are required to be enabled for functionality. Lat/Lon Minutes Precision allows you to adjust the number of digits to the right of the decimal point for transmission of NMEA Output, either 2, 3, or 4 digits. Use the Waypoint ID setting to output the waypoint identifiers as names or numbers. Press the NMEA Setup soft key to open the Advanced NMEA Setup Page. 2. To change, enable, or disable NMEA output sentences, highlight the sentence, and press ENTER to select or clear the check box. When selected, information about your network installation is collected and saved to a data card. Use the data card with Marine Updater on your personal computer to download software updates for your system. Using Marine Updater, you can put all of the software updates on a data card.
