Book Compensation - When this box is checked the PS 3000 will perform a curvature correction for an uneven curved surface. This should be used when any tightly bound or uneven book or bound material is being captured. Please note that when enabled, Book Compensation will add one to two seconds onto the scan speed time. When scanning flat surfaces or relatively even books this box should not be checked. Use Panel Settings - Due to numerous conflict and usage problems, this feature has been disabled in the current version of the driver. We hope to offer some Front Panel support in a future version of the driver. Automatic Mask Mode - This setting will try to auto detect black (or darkly shaded) areas around the border of an image and convert these pixels to match the image's background. Note that since pixels aren't cropped with this feature, the number of pixels captured (and hence the image's dimensions) will remain constant. Warnings - Clicking the Warnings button will open the Warning Settings Window. This Window allows you to enable or disable three warning settings, they are: Binding Height Warning - The PS 3000 has a maximum focal height of about 2 inches above the book cradle. When this box is checked, the PS 3000 will indicate when it is unable to
