Configuring Device Security Defining Access Control 4 Defining IP Based ACL The IP Based ACL Page page contains information for defining IP Based ACLs, including defining the ACEs defined for IP Based ACLs. To define an IP based ACL: STEP 1 Click Security Suite >Access Control > IP Based ACL. The IP Based ACL Page opens: IP Based ACL Page The IP Based ACL Page contains the following fields: • ACL Name - Displays the user-defined IP based ACLs. • Rule Priority - Indicates the rule priority, which determines which rule is matched to a packet on a first-match basis. • Protocol - Creates an ACE based on a specific protocol. The possible field values are: - ICMP - Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP). The ICMP allows the gateway or destination host to communicate with the source host. For example, to report a processing error. - IGMP - Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP). Allows hosts to notify their local switch or router that they want to receive transmissions assigned to a specific multicast group.
