Managing System Files Save Configuration 13 was started or rebooted. When the device shuts down or reboots the next time, this configuration becomes the Starting Configuration. • Starting configuration - Contains the parameter definitions which were valid in the Running Configuration when the system last rebooted or shut down. • Backup configuration - Contains a copy of the system configuration for protection against system shutdown, or for maintenance of a specific operating state. File names cannot contain slashes (\ or /), the leading letter of the file name should not be a period (.), and the maximum length for file names on the TFTP server is 127 characters or 31 characters for files on the switch.
